Collective Shout

for a world free of sexploitation

Scrolling through my Twitter feed this morning and saw this RT from an acquaintance: "Seriously #typo, how can you think is funny?  twitpic.com/84s5gl"

For a moment, words failed me. And then I couldn't quite believe it.

There had to have been a design meeting on this. People had to have sat around a table, listened to someone propose this as a good idea, agreed it would be a good product to make, and asked a designer to actually design this. I know a lot of Typo's products are designed to poke fun at the world, but this...there is no humour, there is no cleverness, there is no redeeming feature to it whatsoever. Who is it aimed at? Who on earth would stick this on their wall?

Hi Rebecca, I saw this yesterday, along with some other porn items (notebooks, drink bottles, stickers, iPhone covers). There has been quite an uproar on Typo's fb page, and now they are deleting comments. There is a petition you can sign :)
