for a world free of sexploitation
Just saw a kids xmas tshirt at Best & Less with a sexily posed, scantily clad elf on it. Caption reads 'tis the season to be gorgeous'.
It is displayed in a rack with xmas themed baby bibs, baby romper/jumpsuits and other tshirts with obnoxious comments like 'Who needs Santa? I've got credit'.
The tshirt I picked up was a size 8. It was on the lower rack, at child height, surrounded by other bright xmas colours. Sizes in the tshirts range from about a size 5 and up from what I saw. Going back this afternoon to try and take a photo.
I find it revolting that these shirts are being marketed to little girls, not to mention they sit right among the baby bibs and jumpsuits!
I have emailed Best & Less and left a complaint. Hope more people will complain. Fancy making an innocent holiday like Christmas into something to sexualise little kids.
*disgusted*
